Summer Craft Show

June 7th and 8th

We are excited to announce that our Oxford Art Club annual June Craft Show, a forty year tradition, will be combining with the Oxford Museum Association’s Craft Show to present a truly extraordinary craft show in Oxford, Ohio this summer!

This craft show represents the first opportunity our customers will have to purchase newly designed 2008 Barker Ornament sets. Customers will also have an opportunity to select from a variety of well loved designs from our wooden ornament line. Each one is individually drawn, cut and painted with an emphasis on detail and quality. More than 250 original designs have been created. Ralph Barker proudly carries on his family’s tradition of creating handcrafted wooden ornaments. Barker Ornaments have been establishing traditions and making memories since 1953.

In addition to the Barker Ornaments display, this juried show will offer the residents of Oxford, Ohio and the surrounding communities a chance to enjoy displays of high quality crafts from featured local artisans. Every work will be an original and the variety of creative products will include paintings and prints, photography, floral arrangements, stained glass, yard sculpture, jewelry, soaps and candles, gourd carvings, pottery, furniture, clothing, baskets, rugs and rock engravings. The high standard of quality our customers have come to expect from Barker Ornament Craft Shows will continue with the diversity and quality of works available at this exceptional show.

The June Craft show is scheduled for June 7th and 8th. The location will be at the Hueston Woods Pioneer Farm at the intersection of Brown and Doty Roads, approximately five miles north of Oxford. Drive past the historic Barker farmhouse and the Barker Ornament workshop on Brown Road to the Doty Road intersection, turn right into the entrance gate to the Hueston Woods Pioneer Farm.

The Oxford Museum Association will also offer tours of the 1836 Doty Homestead and the 1840s Pioneer Barn will be available throughout the event and food service is offered on the grounds. Proceeds are directed to the preservation programs of the Oxford Museum Association.

Please put this craft show on your calendar. We look forward to seeing you there!
