7 Generations of Browns and Barkers

The Barker Farm has been in the family since 1848. It was purchased by Lewis Brown and handed down from Benjamin Brown to Raymond Brown to his daughter Marjorie Brown Barker. Marjorie’s son Ralph Barker is the current owner. Ralph’s children and grandchildren, the sixth and seventh generations of the family, continue to enjoy the country setting and colonial farmhouse that was built as an addition to a settler’s log cabin. The rough bark logs remain exposed in the field stone cellar and hand-hewn beams provide the support for the barn.
